Angela Jide-Jones | Executive Vice Chairman
Angela Jide-Jones is the pioneer chief executive of Ricchezza Capital Limited. She brings with her over 25 years of experience in banking. A well-respected banker with in depth knowledge of the industry, business growth and management; a professional to the core; trained and certified by various prestigious institutions and bodies. She brings in her wealth of knowledge and skills honed through years of dedicated training and experience to lead the team at Ricchezza Capital.
Angela’s voyage into the banking industry started right after her NYSC service in 1993, when she joined Diamond Bank Plc (now Access Bank Plc). She grew through the ranks before joining Zenith Bank Plc as the Credit/ Marketing Head of the bank’s Financial Institution Group in 1996. Distinguishing herself in excellence bagging numerous awards in the bank saw her accelerated growth to the position Assistant General Manager. She later moved on Access Bank in 2004 where her flight to become a General Manager in same bank in 2007 was phenomenal. Within this period, she led various teams and units, and served in various capacities at the bank.
Moving ahead, after her exit from Access Bank, Angela founded Sewa Asset Management Limited in 2015, leading the team as the Managing Director/ Chief Executive. Being a start-up, providing services in wealth management; investment advisory; business intelligence consulting and financial support; training & resourcing services, payment solution and Internally Generated Revenue Collection for both Local and State Government. She was responsible for outlining the strategic direction of the company; setting the leadership tone to identify and harness growth opportunities and sustains growth initiatives.
She is an alumna of the University of Benin where she obtained a bachelor’s degree in Economics/ Statistics. She also has in her portfolio an MBA from ESUT Business School, and a Master’s of Science in Finance from the esteemed Cass Business School of City University in the United Kingdom; also as an ardent scholar she enrolled for the General Managers Program Certification from the renowned and prestigious Harvard Business School, where she also has attended various courses as she continues to develop capacity.
In confirmation of her erudite charisma, various institutions and bodies have awarded her certificates and plagues. Distinguished among them are certifications on Operational Risk Management Course by Price WaterHouse Coopers; New Directions in Portfolio Management by Euro Money; and Strategic Finance by Institute for Management Development (IMD). Harvard Business School certified her for Negotiation & Competitive Decision Making; Corporate Level Strategy; Customer Century City; and Managing Corporate Boards. She has received among others CEO Award for Highest Income Contributor Marina Zone (1999 &2000), CEO Award for Outstanding Leader (2002/2003) both by Zenith International Bank Ltd. Others include Recognition of Excellence in Banking (2003) by Rotary Club of Falomo (District 9110).
Angela is a serial entrepreneur and high-impact business & organization consultant with strong ability to identify initiatives and facilitate action-driven plans, to support corporate growth and objectives both in the private and public sector. A professional with over two decades of proven record in core banking, gender empowerment, start-ups, institutional development & capacity building, human resource management, corporate governance, and information & communication technology. She possesses motivational management style with a proven history of building, guiding, and retaining high-performance teams to develop and implement strategies for accelerated growth.
She is widely travelled and a lover of music. She enjoys learning new culture and cooking. Angela is married with three lovely children.
